Ways to Help

Fairfax Library Foundation always appreciates support from library lovers. If you would like to make a difference for Fairfax County Public Library, we offer many easy and convenient ways to make contributions. You can donate funds to the Foundation to support library programs (visit Your Gifts at Work to learn about the programs we support). Donations are tax deductible. There are many options for giving, so you can find the best fit for you. Please learn more on our Donate to the Library page.

If you want to make a tangible difference, consider purchasing a book from the Foundation’s Amazon.com Wish List. You can help fill the shelves of the 23 branches of Fairfax County Public Library! With this contribution option, you can even be the first to read the book through our First Loan Program. If you’d rather purchase a book for yourself, stop by a book sale hosted by the library Friends Groups at most of the 23 branches, where all proceeds help support the local branch.

Want to make a donation while shopping for yourself? AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of the price of purchased items to Fairfax Library Foundation. Any product that is eligible for the charitable donation will be marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages.

Perhaps you have some extra time on your hands and want to use it to benefit the library. You can volunteer directly with the Foundation or at any of the 23 library branches.

You can even write to your supervisor to help advocate to increase the library’s budget for a more prosperous library.

Another great way to support the Library Foundation is to join in on a great time and attend A Library Jubilee!, our largest annual fundraiser.
